I'd like people's opinion on this journal article I've put together on the western: The Magnificent Seven: The first action movie!Who's excited to see the new Magnificent Seven movie?! I sure as hell am and will be seeing it this coming week. I've been a western fan since I was about 14 and have collected just about every worthwhile western movie ever made. Trust me, that's hundreds. It's interesting to see the evolution of the genre over the decades as they reflect as much about the time they were made as the era they portray. My rambling journal will have three parts. I'd like to explain the history of the genre, how it gave birth to the modern action movie and why the Magnificent Seven is an important development and hopefully the start of more western films.
